Alex turns 3

My baby is now 3. I can't believe that he has been part of life for 2 1/2 years now. He came to us when he was just 9 months old. He was like a newborn. We were so excited to have him part of our family and yet overwhelmed at the same time. He has grown up so much and we love his adorable smile. He can melt your heart with that little dimpled smile he gives so freely. He can also do a great stare down if he is upset. He is my little buddy. Now that both Josh and Andrew are in school, we get to hangout for a few hours together in the afternoon. I have loved watching his personality develop. He is very strong willed and stubborn but he is also, lovable, adorable and happy. His favorite quote of choice these days is"I DO IT MYSELF!!" I love my little man and thank my Heavenly Father everyday that he is part of our family. I can't imagine life without him in it. Alex I love you so much and love watching you grow and learn each day.

Alex at 1!

Alex at 2. Not so sure about everyone else opening his presents

Alex at 3. Loves his tent Grammie and Poppa gave him

"All Hail to King Alex!"

Not so sure he wants to hit his firetruck. Not happy about it at all. He was crying for hisfirst round and why his brothers and cousins took turns.

By his second turn he was in the spirit of hitting the firetruck to get out the candy.

Andrew Plays Soccer

Andrew decided that he wanted to play soccer this year. So we signed him up and he is on the Under 9 Cougars. I was a little worried about him playing just because last time he played he wasn't really into it. He did great his first game and has enjoyed practices until last week. He had a total meltdown and was crying and carrying on. I could not figure out what the problem was and just tried telling him to suck it up and play. his coach was so patient and kind to him. I told him he needed to stop crying or we were going home and he was going to bed. I figured he was overly tired. He tends to stay up way to late. He is in his room by 8:30-9:00 with lights out and yet he doesn't fall asleep until 11. It drives us bonkers, he has so much energy and just keeps going and going. Anyway, he finally got back into practice and they were having a scrimmage. His coach played goalie on Andrew's team and was totally pumping Andrew up every time he went after the ball and kicked it out. This all happened on Wednesday. Fast forward to Saturdays game and he went out there and played defense. I keep telling him he has to be aggressive and go after the ball. his response to me "I know mom, I know". Well they were winning and so the coach decided to give the boys that play defense some action. Andrew moved up to mid field. Andrew scored a GOAL!!!!! It was so awesome, I got a little teary eyed. He was so excited and happy. I hope this means he will do well at practice tonight. Way to go andrew! Keep up the good work!

Getting ready for his first game.

Getting in on the action. Yes that is his teammate.

Random Pics

Life has been hectic around our house lately. I feel like I am swimming upstream and failing. Life is crazy and I am trying to get back into my routine but it has yet to happen. Alex decided he wanted to be potty trained so we are working on that. he does pretty good for the most part but you never know what the day will bring. He loves running around in just his big boy pants all day. We also had a storm last Sunday with hail and everything. It was pretty cool and Josh and Andrew had fun playing in it. They were running around like banshees in the rain.

Alex's favorite clothes of choice these days

Banshees I tell you. The poor neighbors could probably hear him yelling over the storm!

Have been waiting for these photos from my brother in law Mark. These are some more pictures from our Hawaii trip. Thought they were worth posting
